March 26, 2018

Hello Family and Friends!

This week has had some adventures! Brother Locke cooked our steak with an icebox and water. Then he blowtorch melted the cheese on top ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ we tried biking up a high hill and it was really hard. Our investigator Nancy got a blessing and it really comforted her ๐Ÿ˜Š This next weekend is general conference. We are excited to see many miracles this week! In our district meeting we talk about the fruits of the spirit. We have been praying for each other's investigators in our district.

Galatians 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Enos 1:5-6
5 And there came a voice unto me, saying: Enos, thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou shalt be blessed.
6 And I, Enos, knew that God could not lie; wherefore, my guilt was swept away.

Letter #58 - Hello-mid week

March 14, 2018

Hello Everyone! This week we had Zone Conference with Elder Lynn G Robbins and also stake conference with him and Elder Carter, the area seventy as well. We had a part member family that got to come to church as well as Shannon. Elder Robbins talked about raising our children with resilience and asked members of the congregation of their experiences. He said since the generation of the great depression, following generations have not been as resilient.
Zone Conference, I got to see a lot of lovely missionaries I've served around before. Elder Robbins talked about giving investigators the vision of something they can work towards and the motivation that comes along with it. He also said that the way we treat our companions will be the way we treat our husband's and wives. He asked us as missionaries what we like about President and Sister Lee. He thinks our mission has high love and high expectations which is where is should be. We went to members house for dinner who pretty much has a farm in their backyard, haha! We went a lake downtown today. I actually have only seen the ocean in Georgia and never in Florida yet! We had an inspirational ward correlation with our WML. He gave us advice for our mission and for marraige as well.

3 Nephi 12:2
2 And again, more blessed are they who shall believe in your words because that ye shall testify that ye have seen me, and that ye know that I am. Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins.

Letter #57 - A quarter of the end done๐Ÿ˜

March 5, 2018

Hello Friends and Family! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
I will continue being with Sister Spangler for the next while. My old compy, Sister Ganir, is going home! Wow! I remember being with her at her halfway mark. This week Shannon came to church again and is starting to develop a relationship with the ward. Nancy and Al didn't make it to church, but their testimonies are growing stronger! We found a few part member families we might be able to start teaching. Our ward mission leader is excited to empower the members to invite others to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We moved the Sister Training Leaders to a new apartment with the district. It alwayd makes me feel awesome to do adult things with my friends, because it's like wow, we are really cool, we can do competent things ๐Ÿ˜‚ we can 'adult'. The flowers are blooming here, it makes Missy's garden so pretty. Her cats are also cute.

Letter #56 - "Would you like a picture of Jesus?" "Yes ma'am, I'll take two" ๐Ÿ˜…

February 26, 2018

Last Week

Hello!
This week we handed out a lot of pictures of Jesus and coupons for free bibles! Lake City had an Olustee festival and we got to meet a few people. Al has started reading the book of Mormon and he says he wants to learn more! We helped Ralph start his family history and we are going to take him to the family history center and put it together online. Nancy has started to come to church regularly with her grandkids. She is super involved in gospel principles class and learning a lot ๐Ÿ˜

This week
We set two baptism dates with Nancy and Al. Neither of them were able to go to church this week, but Shannon came and she loved it ๐Ÿ˜ Sister Spangler got her hair done last Monday and it looks nice! This week we will have transfer calls and we will find out if we stay together or change ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Missy taught gospel principles for the first time and she did a perfect job! Things are moving along here smoothly. Our next zone conference will be attended by a general authority and he will be taking a tour of the mission... We are excited to see how the work progresses in the coming months! I got a package from the activity day girls from home and it made my day ๐Ÿ˜Š

Matthew 18:1-6
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Letter #55 - KCs Produce Tradeoff ×2

February 12, 2018

This week we had ZOCO and tradeoffs! I was with Sister Mann again, except we stayed in my area. We met a man named Don, he wasn't that interested at first, but we asked more about his favorite preacher and he ended up opening up a lot more! ๐Ÿ˜Š Missy went to the temple for the first time and she loved it! Sister Mann found a cat while proselyting and NAMED IT FRECKLES in about 2 seconds ๐Ÿ˜‚ we saw horses while driving in the outer parts of town and we drove by them a couple times they were free ranging on the streets and around the houses. They were rugged looking and galloped past the car. We talked about family history and the book of Mormon in zone conference. I drove from lake city to Jacksonville for the first time and it went well! From all the different driving I have done in my mission, I feel like an experienced driver! I sure have improved a lot. We have been reading the book of Mormon on the phone with Shannon most days. She loves reading it, we hope to get her to church soon! Nancy came to church this week, and her 4 grandkids. A girl from our ward had a baby shower and she is younger than me ๐Ÿ˜… We hope to see many more amazing things this week.

Letter #54 - We Literally are full time missionaries ๐Ÿ™‹‍♀️

February 5, 2018

Hello Family and Friends,

This week we got a bible referral (shannon) and she accepted a book of Mormon as well! Last night she wasn't feeling well and we asked her if we could read the scriptures with her, we ended up not being able to go to her house, but she said we could call her because she "wouldn't deny Jesus" ๐Ÿ˜ we read the introduction with her and when we asked her thoughts, she totally got it! Shannon is ready to change her life and we are so happy for her.

We message our investigators on Facebook all the time and it's really so fun, because that's the kind of thing I love doing. It really helps us connect with them and it's easier to retain them and resolve concerns when we reach out everyday.

Alma 44:5
And now, Zerahemnah, I command you, in the name of that all-powerful God, who has strengthened our arms that we have gained power over you, by our faith, by our religion, and by our rites of worship, and by our church, and by the sacred support which we owe to our wives and our children, by that liberty which binds us to our lands and our country; yea, and also by the maintenance of the sacred word of God, to which we owe all our happiness; and by all that is most dear unto us-

Letter #53 - She Flu away ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

January 29, 2018

Hello Everyone!
As you probably know, the Flu is going around like crazy! Especially in my area of Florida. Places are being quarantined, and my companion got the flu....but I haven't! Yet...๐Ÿ˜‚ we will see what happens. It's rained a few times this week and I'm wondering if the rainy season is starting. My sister goes homes in 10 Days and I am so excited for her! Good luck Sister Prue #1 ๐Ÿ˜Š She has been serving in Texas and her time is about up.
We went to Oceola National Forest to find some of our lost members. We found one and committed her to read the book of Mormon everyday! We followed up the next day and she had happily read! We are getting more media referrals and hopefully going to find more people interested in learning what we share. We have elders in our area now as well and they have found crazy success this week! We have zone conference next week. I ran over my sharpie pen with the car and now it looks like a crime scene ๐Ÿ˜จ Hope all is going well!

Alma 38:8-9
8 And it came to pass that I was three days and three nights in the most bitter pain and anguish of soul; and never, until I did cry out unto the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy, did I receive a remission of my sins. But behold, I did cry unto him and I did find peace to my soul.
9 And now, my son, I have told you this that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn of me that there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.
