Letter #55 - KCs Produce Tradeoff ×2

February 12, 2018

This week we had ZOCO and tradeoffs! I was with Sister Mann again, except we stayed in my area. We met a man named Don, he wasn't that interested at first, but we asked more about his favorite preacher and he ended up opening up a lot more! 😊 Missy went to the temple for the first time and she loved it! Sister Mann found a cat while proselyting and NAMED IT FRECKLES in about 2 seconds πŸ˜‚ we saw horses while driving in the outer parts of town and we drove by them a couple times they were free ranging on the streets and around the houses. They were rugged looking and galloped past the car. We talked about family history and the book of Mormon in zone conference. I drove from lake city to Jacksonville for the first time and it went well! From all the different driving I have done in my mission, I feel like an experienced driver! I sure have improved a lot. We have been reading the book of Mormon on the phone with Shannon most days. She loves reading it, we hope to get her to church soon! Nancy came to church this week, and her 4 grandkids. A girl from our ward had a baby shower and she is younger than me πŸ˜… We hope to see many more amazing things this week.

Letter #54 - We Literally are full time missionaries πŸ™‹‍♀️

February 5, 2018

Hello Family and Friends,

This week we got a bible referral (shannon) and she accepted a book of Mormon as well! Last night she wasn't feeling well and we asked her if we could read the scriptures with her, we ended up not being able to go to her house, but she said we could call her because she "wouldn't deny Jesus" 😁 we read the introduction with her and when we asked her thoughts, she totally got it! Shannon is ready to change her life and we are so happy for her.

We message our investigators on Facebook all the time and it's really so fun, because that's the kind of thing I love doing. It really helps us connect with them and it's easier to retain them and resolve concerns when we reach out everyday.

Alma 44:5
And now, Zerahemnah, I command you, in the name of that all-powerful God, who has strengthened our arms that we have gained power over you, by our faith, by our religion, and by our rites of worship, and by our church, and by the sacred support which we owe to our wives and our children, by that liberty which binds us to our lands and our country; yea, and also by the maintenance of the sacred word of God, to which we owe all our happiness; and by all that is most dear unto us-

Love, Sister Jill Prue

Letter #53 - She Flu away πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

January 29, 2018

Hello Everyone!
As you probably know, the Flu is going around like crazy! Especially in my area of Florida. Places are being quarantined, and my companion got the flu....but I haven't! Yet...πŸ˜‚ we will see what happens. It's rained a few times this week and I'm wondering if the rainy season is starting. My sister goes homes in 10 Days and I am so excited for her! Good luck Sister Prue #1 😊 She has been serving in Texas and her time is about up.
We went to Oceola National Forest to find some of our lost members. We found one and committed her to read the book of Mormon everyday! We followed up the next day and she had happily read! We are getting more media referrals and hopefully going to find more people interested in learning what we share. We have elders in our area now as well and they have found crazy success this week! We have zone conference next week. I ran over my sharpie pen with the car and now it looks like a crime scene 😨 Hope all is going well!

Alma 38:8-9
8 And it came to pass that I was three days and three nights in the most bitter pain and anguish of soul; and never, until I did cry out unto the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy, did I receive a remission of my sins. But behold, I did cry unto him and I did find peace to my soul.
9 And now, my son, I have told you this that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn of me that there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.

Letter #52 - Hey Everyone

January 22, 2018

This is another week gone. Transfer calls happened! I'm staying with Sister Spangler in Price Creek for another 6 weeks! So much fun ahead. This week I ate at Texas Roadhouse and I am going to try exercising in morning and night now... the food is catching upπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Our Recent convert, Missy is going to go out with us this week, she is such a natural missionary :)

This week I have been reading Alma 32, 33, 34 which talks about prayer. When, where, and why you pray? We can pray for specific things and wherever we want. I am rededicating myself to the work and I'm going to try really hard to be a consecrated missionary until I go home.
Sorry no pics this week!
S Prue
BY THE WAY WE HAVE A NEW PROPHET. PLEASE PRAY FOR PRESIDENT NELSON 😁

Letter #51 - I'm Probably Here

January 15, 2017

Hello Family and Friends,

Here's the line-up for this week:
There was a funeral for a beloved member this week that we attended. We had an area conference and Elder Bednar talked about having faith unto repentance. Stake presidency told us to act on what we know. There was a YSA devotional that Elder and Sister Uctdorf spoke for. President Uctdorf told us that Heavenly Father wants us to choose our own adventure as we counsel with God about the decisions we make.
This week there will be a live announcement made by Elder Nelson. There will also be Transfer calls.
Sister Spangler and I have eaten a lot of good food this week...

Words:
Pork, fried chicken, wheelchair lifts, banana pudding, southern hospitality, hospice, VA Medical, Repentance, weight, shoes, transfers, dying, prepared, patience, Burger King (BK)

Heavenly Father has asked us to keep his commandments. We can find out for ourselves if they are from him as we live them faithfully and pray to have a spiritual confirmation if they are true. We all have weaknesses and they are unique to each person. When we have faith in Christ and his atonement, we can use his power and choose to overcome our weaknesses.
Alma 13:28
28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

Letter #50 - "Frozen Iguanas falling from trees BUT NOT DEAD"

January 8, 2017

Hello Everyone!

This week, all the locals were anxious over the prospect of snowfall. It did in some areas of Florida and Georgia, but not Lake City. It got some bitter chill for a few days, but today is already a fairly warm day again, haha! Missy was baptized on Saturday and confirmed a member on Sunday. We are working with others who are equally excited to take Jesus Christ's gospel into his life.Today is Sisters p-day, we are spending time with the two other companionships in the zone and eating waffles, shopping and of course emailing.
I am so grateful for my mission, it has brought me so many opportunities to grow and experience new things :) Hope y'all have a great week. We had zone conference and missionary work has been making more sense lately. But the gospel of Jesus Christ always made sense.

Letter #49 - New Year, lasting CHANGE?!?

January 1, 2017

Happy New Year everyone! 😁😊😍😎
What are some of the things that y'all want to change? There are many resolutions we make every year and almost always fall by the wayside. Why? Jesus Christ can provide lasting change. Maybe we do need to get better grades, make more friends or lose weight! As we repent and ask for help from God, our character will change and we will be able to see the love and grace of our Savior in a new light. Our gratitude will grow exponentially.
We have Missy's baptism this week. So exciting!
Love, Sister Prue
Later this year I'll see y'all! Email me! ( If I don't email you, I still love you.)πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
